The forecast identifies potentially dangerous ice and sleet in the Maynard area between 5 AM - 7 AM. After collaborating with the Department of Public Works, I have decided to cancel school Friday, February 4, 2022. Everyone stay safe and enjoy the weekend!

Maynard Public Schools is partnering with CIC Health to offer three forms of testing: Routine Covid-19 Safety Checks (formally pool testing), diagnostic tests for symptomatic individuals who get sick at while at school, and diagnostic tests for asymptomatic close contacts (Test and Stay). More information about each type of testing can be found at
https://www.doe.mass.edu/covid19/testing/ . We encourage all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, to participate in these testing protocols. Please take a moment to provide your consent to have your child participate in these programs via the online consent form at
https://www.cic-health.com/consent/ma?district=Maynard . More information about the logistics of the program will be coming forward in the next week.

The special School Committee forum that was going to be held tonight (Tuesday 3/30/21) to discuss the solar array has been cancelled. The District received new information yesterday that needs to be considered before the School Committee can vote on a recommendation. Currently, there are many outstanding questions and causes for concern that must be settled before proceeding with the solar array installation. Once we have done our due diligence, we will re-engage the community in discussions on this topic. We sincerely appreciate your interest and advocacy.
