Dear Maynard School Community,
As a reminder, Maynard Public Schools has a masking policy in effect at this time separate from the mandate from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The existing policy can be viewed here.
We are exploring all options, including optional masking for all staff and students at the beginning of March, regardless of vaccination status.
We have collected data from the school community (students, teachers, staff, and families). We are assessing the situation in preparation for a discussion at the school committee meeting on February 17th to help inform the recommendation. The anticipated School Committee decision will be at the following School Committee meeting on March 3, 2022.
Masking continues to be required on all school buses, per federal order.
The decision around masking is crucial as it impacts all of us.
