Superintendent Brian Haas is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of Maynard High School students in the 2026 Student Production Awards.
The awards, presented by the Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, honor excellence in student media production.
Under the guidance of teacher Hannah Fullam, participants in Maynard High School's Chapter 74 Multimedia Production and Broadcasting program demonstrated talent and creativity.
Student entries for the awards were submitted in January 2026, with panels of judges from across the country reviewing submissions.
Maynard High School students received the following honors:
NON-FICTION - LONG FORM
Winner: "No Straight Lines" - Harper Carter, Writer, Videographer and Editor
Honorable Mention: "Here I Am" - Brendan Fairley, Director, Videographer, Editor and Sound; Levi DeRome, Director, Videographer
FICTION - SHORT FORM
Honorable Mention: "You Can Change" - Harper Carter, Writer, Director, Editor and Talent; Brendan Fairley, Writer, Director, Editor and Talent; Levi DeRome, Writer, Videographer and Talent

Honorable Mention: "The 2025 Telethon is Coming!!" - Miles Avery, Director and Editor

With the exception of Avery's promotional piece for the Beacon Santa Telethon, all projects were created as part of classroom assignments in Communications 1 or Communications 2.
A ceremony honoring Carter's win will take place on June 8 at Polar Park in Worcester. The ceremony will include awards and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Worcester Red Sox control room.
Winners of the regional Student Production Awards have the opportunity to advance to national-level competition. As part of this honor, Maynard High School will receive a commemorative glass pillar, the ninth one received since 2018.
"These awards are a testament to the creativity, dedication and hard work of our students," said Fullam. "I am incredibly proud of what they have accomplished and excited to see where their talents take them."
