Please remember to send children to school prepared for outdoor play. If obtaining winter gear is a hardship for your family feel free to contact Mrs. Rutherford, our school counselor, for assistance. When there is snow, the following 5 items are required for recess:
- Warm Coat
- Hat
- Mittens/Gloves
- Snowpants
- Winter Boots
The decision to have recess inside or out is based on a variety of factors including: current temperature & windchill, wet or icy conditions, and unexpected weather shifts resulting in many children not being properly dressed. We find students like both types of recess, enjoying the variety of play options provided by New England weather!
