Green Meadow School Council

Massachusetts Education Department on School Councils

The law outlines four major areas of responsibility for councils. School councils are to assist principals in:

  1. Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
  2. Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
  3. Reviewing the annual school building budget
  4. Formulating a school improvement plan - Current School Improvement Plan


Meeting Dates Scheduled for 2019-2020

  • Dates (Tuesdays): September 10th, October 8th, November 12th, December 10th, January 14th, March 10th, April 14th, May 12th, and June 9th
  • Time: 5:15pm-6:30pm
  • Location: Green Meadow Office Conference Room
  • All School Council Meetings are open for attendance by any community member
