Superintendent's News

The First Week of School:

The weather was hot but our school community made the best of it.  I cannot thank the following groups of people enough:

The Maynard Public School custodians, who always make sure our schools are ready and look so good.  In the picture above, the floors are so highly polished that they look like glass and reflect the lights above.

The Maynard Public School secretarial staff and administration who work so hard throughout the summer on the preparations for schools to open and operate well.

The Maynard Public School teachers and paraprofessionals who were so excited and positive on the professional development days and started teaching students from the very beginning of the stuidents' first day.

The Maynard Public School students' who are so bright and engaged.

The weather may still be on the warm side next week but I know we will persevere as a school community.  Soon that wonderful fall New England weather will be upon us.

The Website Rollout:

The new website became public on August 27th. There has been great feedback and support from the Maynard staff and community about the site. We are still in the process of moving content over, we want to make sure things are translated properly and that our new website is ADA compliant.

A great part of the site is it's communication functionality, and with that came a new mobile experience for Maynard Public Schools. You can download our mobile app to stay informed about school closures, calendar updates, and have import information accessible 24/7.

You can download the app for iPhones at https://itunes.apple.com/app/maynard-public-schools-ma/id1400831913?mt=8

You can download the app for Android at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apptegy.maynard

This Weekend:

I hope everyone enjoys the Labor Day Holiday.  All of the employees in the Maynard Public Schools deserve a Labor Day Holiday that honors the the contributions that workers have made to the strength and prosperity of our great country!
